Stage 1 Remap

A Stage 1 remap is a software-only tune. It works on a completely standard car with factory hardware and is designed to extract safe, reliable gains while keeping drivability intact.

Stage 2 Remap

What Hardware Does Stage 2 Need?

Stage 2 is not just a more aggressive file. The engine needs to breathe and cool better to handle the extra boost. The exact parts depend on whether your car is petrol turbo or diesel, but common Stage 2 hardware includes:

Performance exhaust / downpipe

Reduces back pressure and helps the turbo spool faster.

Upgraded intercooler

Keeps intake temperatures down so the engine can safely run more boost.

High-flow intake

Lets the turbo draw air more efficiently.

Upgraded clutch or TCU tune

Needed on some cars so the gearbox can hold the extra torque.

Which Remap Should You Choose?

Choose Stage 1 if…

Your car is standard, you use it every day, you want better throttle response and overtaking power without sacrificing reliability, and you don't want to buy hardware upgrades.

Choose Stage 2 if…

You've already fitted (or are willing to fit) an exhaust, intercooler and intake, you want the maximum safe power from your turbo, and you accept a little more noise and maintenance awareness.

What is the difference between Stage 1 and Stage 2 remap?+
A Stage 1 remap works with a completely standard vehicle and adjusts fuelling, boost and ignition for safe gains. A Stage 2 remap needs supporting hardware upgrades — typically a performance exhaust, intake and intercooler — to unlock more power and hold it reliably.
Can I go straight to Stage 2 without Stage 1?+
You can, but only if the required hardware is already fitted. Most tuners still start with Stage 1 because it lets us measure how the engine responds before adding more boost and stress.
Does a Stage 2 remap need a decat or DPF delete?+
Turbo-diesel Stage 2 maps often need a freer-flowing exhaust or DPF removal to reduce back pressure. Petrol turbo cars usually need a downpipe or decat plus an upgraded intercooler. We confirm hardware requirements from your reg before booking.
Is Stage 1 safe for a daily driver?+
Yes. A good Stage 1 calibration stays well within the engine's mechanical limits, keeps factory safety systems intact and is designed for everyday use. We road-test and verify every file we write.
Will a remap affect my insurance or warranty?+
